Before the show could go on, the Main Event happened earlier at The Holiday Inn Hotel in North Carolina, where the rappers had been staying at .Sources from Cassidy’s crew tell us that Cassidy had asked Papoose to come to his room so they could talk. Papoose eventually came to his room and while the two rappers were talking, all of the sudden Fat Joe and 9 Members of his Entourage storm right into Cassidy’s room. Fat Joe suddenly starts yelling at Papoose, “You Got A Problem With Me?” and Papoose replied, “No, do you have a problem?” When Fat Joe responds ” yeah, I got a problem with you,” thats when Papoose swung at Fat Joe, punching him in the face twice. Before you knew it all hell broke loose. Sources tell us that Fat Joe and his crew rushed the rapper and Hotel security had to seperate the fight before Law Enforcement could get to the Hotel. Sources tells us that they heard Papoose yelling at Joe, “Come on Bitch ass nigga lets take this shit outside give me a fair one.”

TOP 5 – DEAD OR ALIVE (HIP HOP SWAG/VIDEO EDITION)

1) THE B-BOY 1973-1989

The epitome of Hip Hop swag was born with the b-boy. Fat laces, cazal glasses, lee jeans, adidas shell toes & pumas were all made famous by the b-boy. He was the ultimate connoisseur of fashion and did not rely on any blueprint to dictate what was considered “Fresh”. Unfortunately, the b-boy died around 1989 when the music became less personal and more global.

2) THE AFROCENTRIC 1987 – 1991

Afrocentric fashion became popular during the years when conscious rap was widely prevalent. Rappers and consumers alike sported African beads, black medallions and were mostly seen in red, black and green (“cross colors”). The afrocentric side eventually faded and made way for the gangsta rap era which was more viable from a company perspective. That last line is beyond sad.

SUNSHINE - BRAND NUBIAN

3) THE BACKPACKER 1994 - present

The backpacker was born from the globalizing of Hip Hop in the 90’s. In a climate that seen the music become divided, the backpacker stayed more true to the original roots of Hip Hop. Timberland boots, Tommy Hilfiger, carhart jackets and of course the typical Jansport backpack were usually the gear of choice. The term is still used today but usually carries a negative or nerdy connotation.

WHO GOT THE PROPS – BLACK MOON

4) THE GANGSTA 1973 – present

Seeing how hip hop was born from struggles of the inner city youth, it’s safe to say gangsta fashion has been around since its inception. Pretty much walking hand in hand with the b-boy until the early 90’s which ushered in the great divide in hip hop. Bandanas, hoodies, baggy clothes and excessive jewelry became the staples for the gangsta.

GO GETTA - YOUNG JEEZY FT. R. KELLY

5) THE HIPSTER CAT

The hipster cat is an amalgamation of all the fashion trends listed above. Replacing the baggyness for a more close fitting look while still having an emphasis on the jewellerey. Some may describe him as the new school b-boy with his strong passion for throwback orientated styles. i.e the b-boy era.

My comment has nothing to do with fat Joe or Papoose I could care less about threre publicty stunt. I would like to touch up on the rebirth of the bboy swag.. and how it never died in 1989 ,but was reborn in other parts of the world. The hip hop movement went global because of D.J'S Writers and the BBOY.. Do more research on the bboy/bgirl and how they took hip hop to the next level while here in the states everyone wanted to make gain off of rap and overlooked the actual movement of this culture and thats the entire truth. I am a bboy from the bronx born in 1980 dancing for 15 years.. Started off as a graff writer watching my older brother rap born on 1975 stuggling with a hard job and still trying to break through as a latino mc from the bronx.. We love hip hop and are inspired by real artist who are real people. Hip hop should be talked about how it's suppose to and stop confusion the new generation. If you want to keep up on the truth and passion behind this culture go to this website I called swag city outlet.com pease...
